Memorial Day is a solemn occasion, but it can be observed in a lot of ways. Orange County Music League observes the occasion with an all-day benefit show. On May 28, OCML will host the 2nd annual benefit show for the Paralyzed Veterans of America (with plans to host a similar event the Saturday of each Memorial Day weekend). The lineup for this show at The Karman Bar in Laguna Niguel is as follows.
5-5:45 Weekend Bomb
6-6:45 Brahms’ Third Racket
7-7:45 We R the Aliens
8-8:45 Population U
9-9:45 Nikki’s Nervous Breakdown
11-11:45 Kings of Carnage
12-1 Fused by Defiance
In addition to live music all day, this event will feature raffle drawings and a prize wheel where you are guaranteed to win something. There will also be a silent auction at this event. Admission to the event is free, but a donation is suggested. OCML seeks to improve on the $1,150 raised and donated to the Paralyzed Veterans of America in 2015. This 21+ event is from 2 PM until 2 AM. The Karman Bar is located at 26022, Cape Drive, Laguna Niguel.
Paralyzed Veterans of America was founded by World War II veterans who returned to the U.S. with a spinal cord injury. The organization is dedicated to serving veterans through medical research and civil rights for people with disabilities. PVA has 34 chapters nationwide and strives to help paralyzed veterans lead full lives despite their disabilities.
